The last Comfort Diner in the city, which was, ironically, the first to open 14 years ago, has closed. The diner's website says an new restaurant is planned for Staten Island. [Crains]

Black Market, the super-secret place by the Cabin Down Below team, is now open to the public, but the gates will remain closed and patrons will have to enter through a curtain. [Eater, previously]

Jean-Georges Vongerichten's The Mark has opened in the Mark Hotel, serving his take on French comfort food, such as rack of lamb and croque monsieur. [Eater]

The latest addition to the Michael Huynh empire is Baoguette & Thao Noodle, located in the space formerly occupied by Burger Joint. Chef-partner Thao Nguyen is at the helm. [Grub Street]
