Peels Flaunts Its Foliage
Peels, the Freemans gang's soon-to-open American diner-ish restaurant on the Bowery, has exchanged its plywood for some overflowing planters. Not only is the restaurant's whitewashed, manicured exterior kinda pretty, it conveniently offers what is perhaps the most succinct illustration of the Bowery's gentrification to date.
