Pinoy-Style Milk and Cookies: Polvoron

In this heat, no-bake cookies are a welcome treat. The Polvoron is a crumbly, candy-like cookie of flour, milk powder, and melted butter, that's traditionally pressed into shape using a spring-loaded mold. You don't have to turn the oven on, but you do have to spend a few minutes toasting the flour. Above, watch the cookies come together.

Visit Sweets and Brains for the recipe that adds in ground cashews and Milo (an Ovaltine-like drink mix). And notice that she uses a mini muffin tin, which works just fine if you don't have a Polvoron mold handy.
