Pix From Pies-N-Thighs in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
You can rest assured that the fried chicken at Pies-N-Thighs is just as good as it ever was.
This week, Counter Culture slides into Pies-N-Thighs on a wave of animal fats. Mostly, the food is found to be good, with a few notable exceptions. We've already covered the pie part of the name in pictures, so here are some of the savory things we enjoyed.
The pulled pork sandwich is served with the slaw inside the bun--not bad, but in the style of most Carolina 'cue, not very smoky, either.
A couple of happy diners, shoveling it down.
Sluiced with a dilled tartar sauce, the twin filets of fried catfish are fab.
The "insane burger"--topped with cheese, bacon, and a fried egg--is fine, but don't you think the fries are a little pale?
On your way out, this unspeakably cute toddler will wave goodbye.
