Police Giving Soft-Serve Trucks a Hard Time
Getting some heat on the streets.

Following a rumored altercation on Tuesday between a Mister Softee driver and a cop, the NYPD is making things pretty tough for Midtown ice cream vendors.
Yesterday, Miss Softee tweeted that the cops had kicked her out of two separate locations, with "law enforcement coming down hard on all of us after an altercation yesterday w/an ice cream truck." Although fights between vendors are nothing new, a physical confrontation between a vendor and the police seems to be, and given that the city already appears determined to make life difficult for its mobile entrepreneurs, it would be a shame if this added grist to the mill.
And given how hot it is outside, it would seem that there are better things to do than kick ice cream vendors off the streets.
