As of this morning, you can book reservations for the summer 2013 NYC Restaurant Week (which is actually more like a restaurant month, since it runs from July 22 through August 16). A whopping 294 spots are participating in this installation of the semi-annual event, offering three-course lunches for $25 and three-course dinners for $38.

While we think the best way to do Restaurant Week is to try the spots you might not otherwise be able to shell out for (like Jean Georges's restaurants, for instance), we have a few solid favorites on the roster. A sampling:

Danny Meyer's Blue Smoke, which just made our list of the 10 best barbecue restaurants in NYC.

DBGB, which has a stellar-sounding Restaurant Week menu.

The Harrison for the same reason.

Yerba Buena, a sweet pan-Latin neighborhood joint.

Red Rooster Harlem, because this makes a great excuse to head up and see what's going on in that neighborhood.

Hospoda, a Czech spot on the Upper East Side.

Ilili, which serves solid Lebanese fare in the Flatiron.

Dovetail, to experience John Besh's work with vegetables.

EN Japanese Brasserie, which was one of our 10 best spots for drinking sake in NYC.

Kin Shop, because we've had good Restaurant Week experiences there in the past.

Have you had a great or terrible Restaurant Week experience at one of the participating spots? Tell us about it in the comments.
