Robert Sietsema at Momokawa; Sarah DiGregorio at Má Pêche

This week in the Voice, Robert Sietsema samples the "venerable micro-cuisine" of Kyoto at Momokawa, while Sarah DiGregorio heads to Má Pêche, where chef Tien Ho "is doing some remarkable cooking," but the room kinda sucks.

Sam Sifton also files on Má Pêche today: "The food is not quite as precise and magical as it often is in the downtown restaurants, but it is recognizably Changish and strong: big flavors tied together with herbs and acids." [NY Times]

Ryan Sutton is OK with the $510 bill for beef seven ways at Má Pêche. "Because a recent devouring of the feast convinced me that Ma Peche, in the Chambers Hotel, ranks among New York's best steakhouses." [Bloomberg]

Alan Richman revisits Adour now that Didier Elena has taken over the kitchen and declares the food "so appealing, so absolutely convincing, that if Adour doesn't thrive under him it might be that classic French food is doomed." [GQ/Forked]
