San Francisco Hosts the First Pug/Human Pop-Up

Does your dog look like this?

San Francisco's got us beat when it comes to weird food events, at least at this point in time. Fork in the Road's Bay Area correspondent Tracy Van Dyk spotted this poster, which advertises a dinner under the stars for humans and pugs, who always look hungry with their tongues hanging out of their mouths.

The event is scheduled for August 17, and will occur on the patio of the Axis Cafe. The cost is $25, which presumably includes one human and one pug. Here's the website.

The menu is as follows:

Niman ranch sliders with blue cheese, Dijon aoli, and tomatoes Summer pizza with basil tomato sauce and mozzarella Spinach and ricotta ravioli with Cypriot goat cheese, crisp shallots and white wine sauce Sweet potato fries with chipotle sauce

What? No dog biscuits?
