Sarivole Organic Bakery Brings Cookies and Coffee to 8th Street
Cookie Monster would approve.
Sarivole was baking out of the Essex Street Market but decided to expand to include this new Greenwich Village locale. This new Sarivole, which opened four days ago, has no seating and can only fit about a single person inside at a time, but offers a variety of cookies ($2 apiece) in intriguing flavors like almond butter and pumpkin chocolate chip, with several gluten-free varieties as well.
For beverages to wash down the cookies, Sarivole partnered with Rook, a relatively new organic, fair-trade roaster based out of New Jersey. In addition to the standard coffee and cappuccino offerings, the shop is selling hot chocolates made from Taza chocolate. There are also plans to expand bakery options beyond cookies in the near future.
