King Gyro has been dethroned. The First Avenue falafel joint has closed and will be replaced by a Pudgie's-Nathan's-Arthur Treacher's store. [EV Grieve]
It became clear in December that Thé Adoré would brew hot beverages no more. The tearoom announced its closing with a sign, which has since become a place for neighbors to bemoan the store's sad end. [Eater NY]
