16 Handles Frozen Yogurt is expanding across Manhattan with four additional stores. Already opened: Chelsea at 178 Eighth Avenue between 19th and 20th streets. Slated to open late August: Murray Hill at 428 Third Avenue between 29th and 30th streets. October opening: Soho at 240 Lafayette between Spring and Prince. November opening: West Village at 245 Bleecker Street between Carmine and Leroy.
Ristorante Rafele opened in the West Village, at 29 Seventh Avenue South between Morton and Leroy streets. The menu emphasizes classic Neapolitan dishes, and it offers a four-course tasting menu with dessert ($55).
Belgian chocolatier Neuhaus opened another location at the Queens Center Mall on Monday. Its chocolate pralines, handcrafted in Belgium, will be available in more than 60 varieties as well as in prepack gifts. The hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Irving Farm Coffee Company opened a café on the Upper West Side at 224 West 79th Street. The bar, benches, and walls are built by stacking strips of wood varietals local to upstate New York where Irving Farm's roasting facility is located.The café features coffee and espresso as well as a rotation of craft beers and a wine list.

Brooklyn is has a new ramen place. Opened today, Brooklyn Ramen Dassara serves Deli Ramen (chicken broth with diced celery, matzo balls, and Mile End smoked meat) and broiled oysters with dashi butter and miso-glazed bacon. Good news for those with a sweet tooth: Sugar and Plumm has officially opened its Manhattan location, this time on the Upper West Side of Manhattan at the northeast corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 78th Street. [Digital Journal]
