South Brooklyn Pizza Will Open on First Avenue on Monday
Last November, we learned that South Brooklyn Pizza was crossing the river from Carroll Gardens to open a new outpost in the East Village. It looks like it'll be opening its doors for take-out, sit-down, and delivery this Monday. Per a release, the restaurant will be doing $4 "Di Fara-type" or vegan slices, as well as whole pies, for take-out and delivery from 11 a.m. til 5 a.m.; only whole pies will be available in the dining area, which opens at 6 p.m. The pizza will be baked in a reconfigured 1950s bread oven, and at some point in the near future the owners, who are still awaiting a liquor license, will open a back dining area and bar. There's no word yet on whether the latter will be decorated with male go-go dancers.
