Strange Snacks of the World--Spicy Tuna in a Bread Bowl
This Franken-bun seems to be a new addition to the downtown Café Zaiya (the heaven of strange snacks) where I often grab quickie lunches. It's a big crusty roll that's more like a bread bowl, with the hollow center filled with a gigantic blob of spicy-mayo-slicked tuna and shreds of nori. Warm, it's pretty tasty. But you have to be a tuna-lover to enjoy that big ball o'fish, that's for sure.
Café Zaiya has two locations:
69 Cooper Square
18 East 41st Street
