The buzz: Each sip of this flip feels full and autumnal. But because none of the heavy cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove flavors associated with fall are present -- at least in any large proportion -- the drink has a longevity that can last it through both cold-weather seasons. While the bourbon lends a smoky, woody vibe to the beverage, the cool, earthy gourd base makes the drink richly moist. Egg white and simple syrup, meanwhile, keep the beverage light and fun.
