The New Amsterdam Markets Starts for Real This Sunday
Last month, the New Amsterdam Market returned for one day only to tease us with the promise of organic produce and pneumatic baked goods. Beginning Sunday, the market will make good on that promise with the official kickoff of its summer season. Expect the usual suspects, such as Liddabit Sweets, Orwasher's Bakery, and Hudson Valley Duck Farm, to be there, along with newer players like Pie Corps and Kings County Jerky. As always, the market will go from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m.; bring cash, an appetite, and a tolerance for people pointing large cameras at the rhubarb.
