The New York Health Department Has Lifted Its Beekeeping Ban
Here's some very sweet news for local beekeepers and those hoping to acquire some hives of their own: Earlier today, the New York Department of Health and Mental Hygiene voted unanimously to lift its decade-old beekeeping ban, which had lumped honeybees together with such dangerous creatures as poisonous snakes and hyenas. To celebrate, here's a Food Curated video of the Roberta's gang tending to their bees back when it was still illegal.
