The Pink Tea Cup to Hold a Fund-raiser on January 3
The Pink Tea Cup is down, but it may not be out: on January 3, the same day that it was scheduled to close for good, the restaurant's loyal customers are hosting a fund-raiser to raise enough money for its manager, Vincent Pinkey, to buy it and keep its doors open.
Diner's Journal reports that the organizers, three longtime employees of the restaurant, are hoping to raise $100,000, and have started a Facebook page, Save the Pink Tea Cup, to detail their efforts.
