The Rum House Has Reopened
Here's a small ray of sunshine on an otherwise miserable day: To the everlasting delights of boozehounds, preservationists, and lovers of the good and resolutely unpretentious, the Rum House reopened last night. As was previously reported, the bar was resurrected by the folks behind Ward III, who have continued its 37-year-old legacy by keeping it largely intact; most of the updates can be found on the menu, which now includes some new cocktails and a wider variety of whiskey and rum. Here's hoping another 37 years are on the menu, too.
