The Story of Streit's Matzo on the Lower East Side
Over on Kickstarter, filmmaker Michael Levine of Rivington Pictures is looking to raise $60,000 to fund a feature-length documentary that will tell the story of Streit's Matzo, a fifth-generation matzo factory founded in 1925 on the Lower East Side. Watch the video below to see scenes with the founder's family, the owner, and various factory workers--one of whom calls making matzo there the "best job in the world."
