The Union Square Greenmarket Is Snowed Out
Perhaps you have noticed by now that it is snowing. Whether it is a snowpocalypse or a snowicane we leave to you, but don't bundle yourself up, strap on the galoshes, and tromp out to the Greenmarket in the hopes of scoring a rutabaga for dinner tonight.
It happens extremely rarely, but the market is canceled today, because driving conditions are too dangerous for the farmers: so tweeteth the Union Square Market. No word yet on tomorrow's market--the most recent twitter says they're "hoping" all markets will be open tomorrow. Hey, Twitter is actually making itself useful.
