This Week in Booze News
Not sick of hearing about the wonders of bacon? Love swapping c's and k's to make spelling extra cute? Too lazy to infuse spirits yourself? Then there's a new vodka that's perfect for you. Bakon Vodka bills itself as "a superior quality potato vodka with a savory bacon flavor. It's clean, crisp, and delicious. This is the only vodka you'll ever want to use to make a Bloody Mary, and it's a complementary element of both sweet and savory drinks." Yum...or not.
Brouwers of Stone Street, a relatively new bar in the Financial District, already appears to have closed.
The menus are up in the new, soon-to-reopen Minetta Tavern, and already there's outcry over a $26 burger.
Tribeca Grill is offering no corkage fees on Sunday and Monday nights.
