National Spaghetti Day, Multiple Locations, Monday

Now that the weekend at the gym paid off, warm your body with bowls of pasta coated with pesto, tomato, or alfredo sauce. A few of the possibilities include classic spaghetti and meatballs at Carmine's, spaghetti and what else — clams — at The Clam, and spaghetti alla chitarra served cacio e pepe style at Faro, which was chosen as one of Village Voice's ten best restaurants to open during 2015.

90's Trivia and Happy Hour, Slattery's, 8 East 36 Street, 3 to 9:30 p.m.

If the first Monday of 2016 requires the aid of a stiff drink and some brain training to get you back into work shape, consider trying your hand at 90's pop trivia starting at 8 p.m. From 3 to 7 p.m., guests can warm up with drink specials including $5 and $6 drafts as well as $6 select cocktails. Guests can register a team in advance here.

French Wine 101, In Vino, 215 East 4th Street, Wednesday, 7 to 8 p.m.

Join fellow wine enthusiasts in this one hour class, which will explore the world of French wine from top to bottom. Students will learn the biggest misconceptions and mysteries behind the world's most infamous wine regions and enjoy several tastings too before the night is over. Tickets start at $25; secure them here.

Ark of Taste Exhibit Opening, Museum of Food and Drink, 62 Bayard Street, Brooklyn, Thursday, 6 p.m.

Kick off the new year at MOFAD, where endangered food is the focus of the new exhibit Ark of Taste sponsored by Slow Food. Visitors will learn about how people from around the world are preserving culinary culture and biodiversity, with a tasting and discussion included. Afterwards, visitors will have the chance to browse through a pop-up farmers' market in the museum featuring products from local New York purveyors. Tickets are $20 for general admission and can be reserved here.

Ice Cream Social Party, Rockaway Brewing Co., 46-01 5th Street, Queens, Friday, 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Who says you can't eat ice cream in the winter - especially when New York winters aren't what they use to be? For $10, guests can make their own ice cream sundaes and choose ice cream for beer floats. There will also be a pop-up dessert shop hosted by Aloria Cakes with goodies for sale; reserve a ticket here.
