We're just gonna trust that despite this snow, spring is coming. It's the only way we can bear digging ourselves out...again. Check out this weekend's best food and drink events, which provide additional motivation to venture out.

Stinky Cheese Week, Multiple Locations, Saturday and Sunday

Celebrate your sense of smell this weekend by getting up close and personal with stinky cheese. The week-long event, which begins Friday and runs through March 13, will take place at all Tour de France restaurants, including Maison and Pigalle. In addition to pungent choices like taleggio and raclette, the latter of which appears as part of a mac-and-cheese burger, restaurants will be serving ideally paired wines and beers. A full lineup of participating restaurants and each one's smelly dishes can be viewed on the Tour de France website.

Instead of sleeping in on Saturday, start the day with a caffeine buzz. Roasters from around the city will bend your ear about beans while teaching you ways to improve your home brew methods. The event also features a special tasting led by George Howell, whose seminar focuses on what to look for when considering cups of coffee. Hoboken St. Patrick's Day Parade, Multiple Locations, Hoboken, Saturday, 10 a.m.

Want to see an entire city turn green? Celebrate an early St. Patrick's Day by bar-hopping in Hoboken while taking in a parade and traditional Irish performances. Over twenty Hoboken bars and restaurants will offer drink specials, and all-access passes are available. Tickets start around $10.

Tropical Ghana: Red, Red, Court Tree Collective, 371 Court Street, Second Floor, Brooklyn, Saturday, 5 p.m.

Learn an entirely new cuisine this weekend: Chef Charles Cann is leading a vegetarian-focused cooking class on one of Ghana's most popular dishes. Students will learn the secret to putting together "Red Red," a popular bean stew with fried plantains. The weekend also marks the 58th anniversary of Ghanaian independence, so expect a lively and festive atmosphere. Beverages are also included in the $35 ticket.

TEDx Manhattan Adventure: Vertical Urban Farming with Gotham Greens, Bowery Culinary Center, Whole Foods Market, 95 East Houston Street, Sunday, 3 p.m.

TEDx Manhattan hits town this weekend, and it focuses on changing the way we eat. One such way? Vertical urban farming, which can help revitalize agricultural production in densely populated areas. The panel will include an appearance by Gotham Greens CEO Viraj Puri, who will demonstrate the benefits of hydroponic farming with a tasting of Gotham Greens produce in the form of spring rolls. Reservations are $18.
