If you look close enough, you just might spot a few outdoor tables popping up around the city. Here are five food and drink events you may want to head out to.

Kitchen Notebook Dinner, Perilla, 9 Jones Street, Monday, 5:30 p.m.

Harold Dieterle is sharing recipes from his latest cookbook, Kitchen Notebook, by offering a $60 four-course tasting menu. Dishes include housemade ricotta, lamb cheek manicotti, and grilled big eye tuna, with s'mores for dessert. The chef will offer the tasting menu each Monday throughout March; reservations can be made by contacting the restaurant.

St. Patrick's Day, Multiple Locations, Tuesday

Everyone's a little Irish on St. Patrick's Day, as bars and restaurants throughout the city will help paint the town green. For those seeking traditional fare, The Lion is offering a special holiday menu of corned beef and cabbage along with shepherd's pie. To drink, The Dead Rabbit and Donovan's Pub will be two of the many locations offering up a lively and thematically appropriate atmosphere.

Open House, Cherry Izakaya, 138 North 8th Street, Brooklyn, Wednesday, 6 p.m.

New chef John Keller is saying hello to the neighborhood with complimentary bites, and the bar here will offer sake, beer, and cocktails for a dollar until 11 p.m. A special menu will also be available for guests wishing for larger plates. The restaurant is offering a special promotion for Thursday, March 19, too: The first 25 reservations will receive a fully comped dinner (up to $75 in value per person), while the next 25 reservations will receive 50 percent off their bills. Game Night — Settlers of Catan!, Finback Brewery, 7801 77th Avenue, Queens, Thursday, 7 p.m.

Looking for a cheap date? How about fresh beer and teaming with a significant other? Head to this Settlers of Catan tournament for both. The Queens brewery will also dish out prizes and have other games on hand for those looking for something a little less intense.

Celebrate this made-up food holiday with free macarons, as bakeries throughout the city will offer free samples all day long. Francois Payard, Macaron Parlour, and Epicerie Boulud will all be doling out treats; a full lineup of participating bakeries can be seen on the Macaron Day website.
