A Taste of Hoboken, Stevens Institute of Technology Schaefer Athletic Center, 1 Castle Point Terrace, Hoboken, NJ, Tuesday, 6 p.m.

Forty North Jersey restaurants offering everything from sushi to Cuban food will converge for the annual Hoboken-North Hudson YMCA gala fundraiser. The line up of bites includes offerings from seafood-focusedHaven and Cake Boss headquarters Carlo's Bakery. Tickets start at $60, but you may want to spring for the $80 package, which includes Champagne.

Ideas and Inspirations of Relæ: What the Conventional Fine Dining Experience Gets Wrong, 92nd Street Y, 1395 Lexington Avenue, Wednesday, 7 p.m.

Copenhagen chef Christian F. Puglisi's, known for his plant-focused menus, will be joined by Danny Bowien and Carlo Mirachi for a discussion on fine dining. The chefs will touch upon many of the practical methods Puglisi uses for his dishes, along with how the dining experience can be shaped through technique and ingredients. Tickets are $30 and can be secured through the 92nd Street Y's website.

Food Fight: A Debate On Lab-Grown Meat, Thursday, Holstee Work/Shop, 8 4th Street, Suite 106, Brooklyn, Thursday, 7 p.m.

Would you eat a burger born out of a test tube? What if you knew it could help solve world hunger in the future? Join a panel discussion on lab-grown meats this week and discover the pros and cons of a potential future food source. Tickets are $20.

Funky Fresh White Truffle Dinner, Craftbar, 900 Broadway, Friday, 7:30 p.m.

If you're looking to splurge on white truffles at some point this year, consider Craftbar's five course dinner with beverage pairings to kick off an extravagant season. Dishes include lamb carpaccio, truffled pot pie, and a honey truffle milk shake. Tickets are $250.
