Valentine's Day is almost here. You're either exchanging heavy eye contact with your sweetheart and splurging on an overpriced prix fixe menu or you're fantasizing about couples like that getting food poisoning. Why let the epic pressure of the holiday get to you when you can be seduced by food? We rounded up 10 food-as-seduction movie scenes to get you in the mood because the blindfolded taste test in Mostly Martha is way more satisfying than anything out of The Notebook. Foodgasms are the real deal, so let's whet that appetite. Sit back and treat yoself.

10. Jamon Jamon (1992) Silvia (Penelope Cruz) and Raul (Javier Bardem), an underwear model Silvia's would-be mother-in-law sends to destroy her engagement, have a romp. He tells her that one of her breasts tastes like tortilla de patatas (omelette) and the other one tastes like jamon serrano (ham). Green Eggs with Ham must send this guy over the edge.

9. 9 ½ Weeks (1986) Mickey Rourke turns on the charm when he feeds Kim Bassinger a strawberry, Vicks cough medicine, a noodle, Jello, and a jalapeño pepper, which he lets her wash down with milk. He tops things off with a downpour of honey, which he rubs all over her legs.

8. Like Water for Chocolate (1992) Tita serves it up for her suitor with your garden variety recipe like rose petals from the bouquet he brought, quail, and some of her blood. Resourceful.

7. Tampopo (1985) As a warm-up, an egg yolk gets passed back and forth from one mouth to the other until it breaks in her mouth, dripping down her chin. Not to worry that your egg cup doesn't runneth over for that one. An oyster gets ravaged afterward. If slippery raw foods just don't do it for you sexually, there are pamphlets on fetishizing cheese doodles.

6. Babette's Feast (1987) Convent housekeeper Babette blows her lottery winnings (10,000 francs) on a lavish meal that reignites an old love. Shipment after shipment, crates packed to the gills with never-before-seen ingredients freak the sisters out (delicious stuff could be a sensual sin). Still they dig in, careful not to speak of their pleasures.

5. When Harry Met Sally (1989) Proving Harry (Billy Crystal) might not be the bedroom performer he thinks he is, Sally (Meg Ryan) fakes getting her rocks off over pastrami on rye. She winds the moans up and up until she finally explodes and then eats some coleslaw.

4. Chocolat (2000) Chocolate's one of the forbidden pleasures in the medieval village where Vianne Rocher (Juliette Binoche) sets up shop during Lent. Because all it takes to shake up religious people are sachets of aphrodisiac chocolate pebbles, and it's magical.

3. The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover (1989) Between courses at her abusive mob boss husband's restaurant, Georgina Spica (Helen Mirren) has a clandestine affair in the bathroom with a nerdy guy to kill her boredom.

2. Big Night (1996) Desperately passionate chefs bring the food straight to the patrons' lips to save their Italian restaurant. "O" looks register on everyone in attendance.

1. Mostly Martha (2001) Primal instincts fuel the attraction between two chefs. Martha, blindfolded, licks his spoonfuls tasting of basil, leeks, and cognac before Mario moves in for the kill.
