Weekend Market News: Hester Street, the Flea, and All Tomorrow's Parties
The Flea will go strong all weekend long.
While much of the city already seems to have gone eerily quiet in anticipation of the long weekend (the immediate environs of NYU excepted), the Hester Street Fair and Brooklyn Flea will still be around to sate the appetites of anyone who's not fleeing town for the next 72 hours.
According to the Hester Street Fair's Facebook page, the market will be open only on Saturday, but its accompanying farmers' market will be open on Sunday.
The Brooklyn Flea will be open for business as usual on both Saturday and Sunday; hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
And while it's not within the five boroughs, the three-day All Tomorrow's Parties music festival in Monticello, New York, will feature a number of Flea vendors. If you happen to be there, keep your eyes open for Asia Dog, Pizza Moto, Crop to Cup Coffee, and Choncho's Tacos.
