What's Happening: Latke Festival and Cheese Ball
Tis the season for latkes.
Monday, December 10 Fourth Annual Latke Festival Celebrate Hanukkah at BAM with 17 restaurants including Fatty 'Cue and Veselka, as they fry up some of the best latkes in the city. Tickets are $55 and include drinks. 30 Lafayette Ave., Brooklyn
Tuesday, December 11 Latke Sizzle! Have no fear if you missed Monday's latke event. Top Chef judge Gail Simmons will chat with Mitchell Davis at 92Y about Jewish cooking. After the discussion, Simmons will host a cooking demonstration and latke tasting (paired with vodka!). Tickets are $29. 1395 Lexington Ave.

Wednesday, December 12 Stone Brewing Tap Takeover Sample Stone Brewing Company's will show off its Vertical Epic Ale at Alewife in Queens. Brews include Arrogant Bastard, Smoked Porter, and Imperial Russian Stout. Plus, the beers will be paired with a special menu from Alewife chefs. 5-14 51st Ave., Queens
Thursday, December 13 Merry Perry Cocoa Truck Perry Ellis will celebrate the holidays by handing out free hot cocoa on Thursday afternoon and evening. Donations are welcome and will be given to New York Cares to help Hurricane Sandy victims. 9th Avenue and 16th Street
