Beer Tasting Dinner Loreley Williamsburg Wednesday, January 19, 7 p.m. Join German beer expert Rudi Eilers for a three-course, nine-beer tasting menu of German brews. For just $29, the menu will include Loreley's signature sausage platter with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes or potato pancakes with applesauce and lingonberries. Beers will include Gaffel Kölsch from Cologne, Spaten Lager from Munich, and Weihenstephan from Freising.

Free Wine Tasting Elsewhere Thursday, January 20, 6 p.m. Carole Meredith of Lagier Meredith Vineyards and Molly Roberts from Gemstone Vineyard will be pouring free tastings of their wines during regular dinner service. The wines, including the 2008 Facets of Gemstone Estate Red Blend Yountville and 2007 Syrah Mount Veeder, will also be available for purchase. (The cheapest one is $50.)

The World's Biggest Jerk-Off The Bell House Sunday, January 23, 4 p.m. After multiple bacon, chili, and even tofu takedowns, Matt Timms invites you to put your jerky to the test. If you've been known to dry your own meats, now's your chance to get some recognition for it. Spectators can expect a venison haunch deboning demonstration and tastings of local jerky from RUB and the Meat Hook, all for $10 a ticket.
