The How I Cook At Home series of New York chef-led classes at Whole Foods Bowery might be just the place to find out. Chefs Scott Campbell of New Leaf and Patrick Connolly of Bobo will be hosting classes June 8 and 15, respectively. Expect Campbell to focus on produce and Connolly to highlight seafood.
1st Annual Brooklyn Beer Experiment The Bell House June 7, 1-5 pm What happens when two veteran New York City cook-off champs get together to create a competition of their own? The 1st Annual Brooklyn Beer Experiment is what happens. Nick Suarez and Theo Peck, both of whom placed in Chowder Slam, the Bacon Takedown, and the Park Slope Pork-Off, are bringing together 25 amateur chefs for the ultimate beer cook-off and homebrew-off. Judges include George Duran of the Food Network, Justin Philips of Beer Table, and Brian Shebairo of Crif Dogs and PDT, all of whom know a thing or two about suds.
