Drink Coffee/Help Haiti 'wichcraft January 25 It's been close to two weeks since devastation gripped Haiti, and the relief efforts are still rolling in. 'wichcraft has teamed up with La Colombe Torrefaction, Harry Wils & Co., and Imperial Paper to donate all proceeds from today's coffee sales at the restaurants to the American Red Cross, its charity of choice to help Haiti. 'wichcraft will also donate half the proceeds from in-house sales of its cookbook, 'wichcraft: craft a sandwich into a meal--and a meal into a sandwich, written by Tom Colicchio and Sisha Ortuzar.
Behind the Scenes SHO Shaun Hergatt January 25 While a number of critics agree that the food at SHO Shaun Hergatt is great, many have been baffled by the over-the-top, 80s-era luxury of the place. Now's your chance to get intimately acquainted with both the food and philosophy of SHO: a multi-course pairing dinner, complete with signature cocktails and canapes to start and a private tour of the kitchen with a chance to meet the chef after dinner.
Haitian Donation Matching Day Whole Foods Market Bowery January 27 If you haven't done anything for Haiti yet, here's your chance to help... by simply doing your groceries. Whole Foods Market and Americares have partnered to offer relief. Whole Foods customers can donate at the register, and 100 percent of monies collected will going to Americares' relief efforts. And, on January 27, donations will go twice as far at Whole Foods Market Bowery, which will match customer contributions with its own.
