Wine Dinner Series, Cont'd Del Posto Wednesday, February 23, 7 p.m. Looking for something to drop $325 on? How about a five-course meal prepared by chef Mark Ladner, paired with wines from Piedmontese wine producer Poderi e Cantine Oddero. Nine wines from this 130-plus-year-old family-owned estate will be served with such dishes as Risotto al Vacca Rossa and Veal in Ash with Osso-Bucco "Vino-grette."
Tequila and Barbecue Dinner Hill Country Barbecue Market Wednesday, February 23, 6 p.m. For slightly less of a splurge, this tequila-and-barbecue dinner will feature agave-based spirits from the Corralejo Distillery paired with a three-course meal for $65. The menu includes Tex-Mex taquitos with smoked brisket, queso fresco, and avocado crème; smoked chicken wings with spicy slaw, agave, and guajillo chili; and pit-smoked ham.
Oscar Pre-Show Cocktail Party Macao Trading Co. Sunday, February 27, 6 p.m. Awards season is in full swing, but we all know it's all about the pre-show. If you're planning to watch the Oscar pre-show this year, why not do it on a 10-foot-by-10-foot screen while sipping a signature Oscar-themed cocktail called the Diva and snacking on complimentary snacks sent around to keep you sated during the red-carpet madness.
