Where Am I Eating? Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao
One word: yumsies.
Fork in the Road readers seem to love their xiao long bao (a/k/a soup dumplings) as much as Fork in the Road writers do. And for good reason: Xiao long bao (often written on menus as "steamed pork buns") are, quite possibly, one of the world's finest foods, with rich porky broth and a filling encased in soft, just-toothsome-enough dough. The version pictured here is from Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao (38-12 Prince Street, 718-321-3838) in Flushing, which Tina correctly guessed.
Congratulations, Tina. Please email me to claim your cookbook. And the rest of you come back next week when we unveil another tasty treat.
