Where Am I Eating? Wong Wong Noodle Shop
Roast duck peel noodles from Wong Wong
These peel noodles, otherwise known as knife-cut noodles, were slurped at Wong Wong Noodle Shop, a Fujianese noodle spot in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The noodles are wide, irregular, and fluttery, made by shaving strips from an oblong of dough. Here they share the bowl with roast duck, bok choy, and pickled greens.
Thanks so much to all the commenters who guessed--you were all on the right track, identifying the peel noodles, which narrowed down the possible restaurants. But Kim was first to guess Wong Wong--congratulations Kim. Please email me so that I can get your cookbook out to you.
