Where Was I Eating? Cholula
It's almost lunchtime. Go eat this cemita.
Yay! After a few tense days of guessing, we finally have a winner. I was eating at Cholula, the Mexican deli-cum-restaurant that serves up some mighty tasty fare at rock-bottom prices. The pictured dish is the cemita, which piles on avocado, shredded lettuce, string cheese, chipotle peppers, and papalo leaves, which impart a distinct, musky herbal note to the sandwich.
Congratulations to Christopher Balla, who correctly named the spot. Please email me with your mailing address to claim your cookbook. Thanks to all who played, and check back in next Monday afternoon for a whole new round of fun.
