What to feed the Italian Cookie Monster.
Fork in the Road readers have eagle eyes, for sure. We were eating apricot cantucci at Il Cantuccio, the charming West Village Italian pastry shop.
Unlike traditional biscotti, which are often hard and crumbly, these cantucci (a/k/a biscotti of Prato) are chewy and studded with fruit (in addition to our favorite flavor, they also have ones with fig, chocolate, and prune).
