Year of the Takeout Day 217: Donuts?
Donut-Cruller Things From Lady at Grocery on Grand and Christie streets
So we're not sure if these actually come from the grocery/fruit stand in question or what because they were kind of hidden on the shelf, but whatever . . .
These donut-cruller things kinda have the mouthfeel and flavor of Big Wong King's sweetbread, but with a bit more sugar.
That said, we'd suggest eating these for dessert, not breakfast.
And you shouldn't have any problem planning your post-supper sweet snack -- the food seller in question also offers fried noodles with honey and a sort of peanut brittle.
We pointed to a bunch of these confections, wound up with most of what we requested, and only had to pay $4.50 for a big bag of vittles.
