Do you feel like every restaurant in New York City is outfitted with a Civil War motif and communal tables, serving a menu of gourmet comfort food, while mustachioed bartenders in suspenders pour you glasses of punch? Guess what? You're not alone in thinking that. Just look at Zagat's 10 Most Annoying Restaurant Trends.
In addition to those annoyances, pop-ups, gourmet bread baskets you have to pay for, sliders, chalkboard menus, and iceless table water get a finger-wagging. But that's the good thing about trends. Just a few months from now, most of these offenses will be mere memories of the spring of 2011, and we'll have a whole new bounty of trends to bitch about.
