SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL

New York, NY (March 25, 2003) The Village Voice, the nation's largest alternative weekly newspaper, is excited to announce the 3rd Annual SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL at Coney Island, returning on Saturday, July 19th, 2003 from 12:00 noon - 9:00 p.m.
The Village Voice, celebrated for its writing and reporting on the vanguard of music and the arts, was extremely pleased by the huge success of the last two Village Voice SIREN Music Festivals. Past SIREN 2001 and 2002 performers include Sleater-Kinney, The Donnas, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Guided By Voices, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Shins, Mooney Suzuki, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Superchunk, Quasi, Liars, Les Savy Fav, Man or Astro-Man, Peaches, The Von Bondies, Shannon Wright, Rainer Maria, Bob Log III, Rye Coalition and Enon. Each year, SIREN has drawn capacity crowds of more than 50,000 throughout the day, and established itself as a leader in showcasing indie rock veterans and emerging artists.

Once again, this free, all-day, all-ages, multi-stage music festival will feature live national and local bands, DJs, carnival gaming, and much more performing throughout the Coney Island amusement park on two outdoor Main Stages and several indoor and outdoor venues.
