New York, NY (May 19, 2003) The Village Voice, the nation's largest weekly newspaper, is excited to announce the addition of The Datsuns, Idlewild, The Dirtbombs, Oneida and The Witnesses to the line-up for the Village Voice 3rd Annual SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL at Coney Island on Saturday, July 19th, 2003 from 12:00 noon - 9:00 p.m. These just announced bands join scheduled performers Modest Mouse, Hot Hot Heat, Sahara Hotnights, !!!, The Kills, Radio 4, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, Northern State, and The Pattern.
This free, all-day, all-ages music festival will feature live international, national, local bands and DJs performing throughout the Coney Island amusement park on two outdoor stages. Each year, the Village Voice SIREN MUSIC FESTIVAL has drawn record crowds of more than 50,000 throughout the day, and established itself as a leader in showcasing indie rock veterans and emerging artists.
