BrisketLab: Eating Beef in a Graveyard

BrisketLab is the oddball brainchild of Daniel Delaney. It's a pop-up barbecue feast that appears in incongruous places around town from time to time. This last Sunday, it occurred in the graveyard of the Flatbush Dutch Reformed Church, which was constructed in 1796 to house a congregation that dates to 1654, when much of Brooklyn was from the Netherlands. Guests lined up to eat beef brisket smoked 16 hours, with pickles, onions, slaw, and white bread as the only accompaniments. It was delicious.
