Cecily McMillan Supporters React to Sentencing

Supporters of Occupy Wall Street activist Cecily McMillan gathered outside the State Supreme Court in Manhattan on Monday morning, as the sentence against the 25-year-old activist was read: 90 days at Rikers and five years probation, a far cry from the possible seven years in prison she faced. McMillan was convicted of assaulting a police officer. McMillan defended herself by saying the office grabbed her breast from behind and she reacted by elbowing him.
