Rain didn't stop the thousands of dancers from over a hundred organizations all over the New York tri-state area from getting their grooves on through the streets of Manhattan on May 18. Starting from 21st Street and Broadway, dancers of all ages and backgrounds sashayed their through Astor Place and toward Tompkins Square Park for 7th Annual Dance Parade and Festival (http://danceparade.org). From dancehall and ballroom to belly dancing and folk dances, lower Manhattan turned into one big party and brought new meaning to "dancing in the streets.
