Patti Smith performed at the Metropolitan Museum Of Art on December 2, 2011.
The concert - honoring the photographer Alfred Stieglitz and his circle - focused on the collaborative relationship between Stieglitz and his wife/muse Georgia O'Keeffe. The performance featured readings from "My Faraway One", a collection of letters between Stieglitz and O'Keeffe set to music, and songs from Smith's catalog. Smith was accompanied by her guitarist Lenny Kaye and her daughter, Jesse Smith.
