Early in June, the Voice ran a cover story about the ordeal of the New Yorkers sent to clean up the mess at Abu Ghraib. This is two soldiers praying before a makeshift memorial for Staff Sgt. James McNaughton, who was killed by a sniper on August 2, 2005, while outside the prison training Iraqi police.
From Abu Ghraib to Bloody Burlesque, it was quite a month.
