Meaty Scenes from the Big Apple Barbecue

The 12th annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party surrounded Madison Square Park this past Saturday and Sunday eighteen pit-masters from Texas to Red Hook dished out slow-smoked whole-hog, pulled pork, beef ribs, and brisket while local and Nashville talent like Black Taxi and Lera Lynn rocked the stage inside the beer garden, and The Crooners strummed in the shade of Eleven Madison Park, where Pappy Van Winkle flowed all weekend long.
