On Saturday, April 14th, the tenth annual Tartan Day Parade marched up 6th avenue. It was a family affair as Scottish clans from all over the world gathered to represent their ancestry. Bag pipers and dancers followed by a crowd representing a particular Scottish clan filled the street for the parade, which started on 44th street at 2 pm and continued up 6th Avenue until 4 pm. Tartan Week is the largest Scottish celebration in the U.S. and involves restaurant events, fashion shows, award ceremonies, and gatherings for family fun all over the city.
