Occupy Wall Street Protests Cecily McMillan Guilty Verdict

Members of Occupy Wall Street turned out at Zuccotti Park to protest the guilty verdict handed down on Monday, May 5 against Cecily McMillan, an OWS activist. She was convicted of elbowing an NYPD officer during a protest marking the six-month anniversary of the OWS movement in March 2012. McMillan said during the trial she was defending herself against the officer, who she said bruised her breast. McMillan faces up to seven years in prison.
