It's as American as apple pie--hell, it's way more American than apple pie: The Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island. On July 4th, the world's best competitive eaters duked it out at the sport's signature event. Joey Chestnut won his 6th title by downing 68 franks. Tim "Eater X" Janus came in second, and "Deep Dish" Patrick Bertoletti finished third. For the women's event, Sonya Thomas set a new women's record with 45. Afterwards, they all managed to fit some beer in their stomachs as well.
