On Thursday, April 3, Webster Hall (125 E. 11th St.) debuted what it says will be "the biggest weekly hip-hop event NYC has ever seen…showcasing a different style on each of the venue's four floors. As a tribute to the long-running Thursday 'Girls Night Out' tradition at Webster Hall, women will never pay admission to House Party, and in keeping with the 90's theme, anyone sporting a flattop hair cut will skip the line and enter free of charge."
"The goal is to bring a bit of a 90's feel back and make hip-hop fun again but also establish a safe home for hip-hop music in New York, where new records can be broken and people can dance," said Lon Ballinger, the owner of the East Village venue for the last 21 years, in a release.
